If a pack is already in the mail

A pack can already be on the way — in a mailbox, leftover from someone else, or still only a tab. You can know the facts before you take anything from it.

Alabama law makes it unlawful to perform or attempt an abortion except when needed to prevent a serious health risk to the pregnant woman (second Alabama-licensed physician confirmation, except in a medical emergency). That includes the abortion pill. Packs can still arrive. That is not a loophole, and it is not a clinic recovery room.

We do not provide or refer for abortion. A nurse can talk with you in chat, or write back on the form. Free and private. You decide.

What the law says about you

Under that Act (Ala. Code § 26-23H-5), no woman upon whom an abortion is performed or attempted shall be criminally or civilly liable. Still tell an ER what you took so they can treat you. This is not legal advice.

In June 2026 the Alabama Attorney General issued a cease-and-desist letter stating that it is unlawful to ship abortion pills to an individual in Alabama for the purpose of terminating a pregnancy. That is an Attorney General demand letter, not a court judgment and not a new statute.

A mailed pack cannot tell you if the pregnancy is in the uterus. The approved regimen is not treatment for ectopic pregnancy. Do not take leftover tablets from a friend. Do not take a pack until you know where the pregnancy is, and how far along.

What may not match

Pills ordered online or by mail may not match the approved U.S. regimen.

Soak two thick pads an hour for two consecutive hours: that is an ER. Tell them you took the abortion pill if you did. If you are crashing before the second hour, do not wait.

Serious and sometimes fatal infections and bleeding occur very rarely. No causal relationship between these medicines and those events has been established.

Emergency. Heavy bleeding, fainting, one-sided pain: 911. If you may harm yourself, 988.

Chat is not medical care. An emergency room is.
